Sieva Borzak won the Peter Maag Competition in 2023 and was selected by Riccardo Muti to conduct Verdi's Requiem at the Italian Opera Academy 2022. He also attended masterclasses given by Daniel Oren, Niels Muus and Francesco Lanzillotta. In 2019, at the age of 22, he made his debut conducting La Finta Amante, by Giovanni Paisiello, at the Paisiello Festival (Italy). Since 2021 he is Conductor in Residence of Roma Tre Orchestra, conducting over 50 symphonic concerts. Among the latest projects, he has conducted Wagner's Die Walküre in Rome, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Teatro Petruzzelli (Bari) and the new opera Skanderbeg at the National Opera House of Tirana (Albania). He has worked as assistant conductor at the Theatre La Monnaie (Bruxelles 2023) and at the Macerata Opera Festival (2020, 2021). In 2023 his new album, "Elegy", was released by Brilliant Classics. In Italy he studied opera singing, composition and piano. He graduated in conducting under the guidance of Marcello Bufalini at the Conservatorio "Alfredo Casella" (Italy). In the 2023/24 season he will debut at the Aslico Circuit (Italy) with Puccini's Turandot, and will conduct the opera Der Kaiser Von Atlantis at the Reate Festival (Italy) and Mozart's Requiem in Rome.
