The Swedish born conductor and pianist Magnus Fryklund is educated in Copenhagen at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He has been Young Conductor in Residence at Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Conductor in recidence at Orchestre National de Montpellier and House conductor at Malmö Opera. The season 2023-2024 includes debuts with Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Leif Ove Andsnes, Wermland opera (both soloist and conductor) and The Royal Danish Opera. Magnus Fryklund has conducted concerts with orchestras like Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Odense Symphony Orchestra, Gävle Symphony Orchestra, Dalasinfoniettan and Concerto Copenhagen. Magnus Fryklund has participated in masterclasses with Herbert Blomstedt and Kurt Mazur and been assistent for Michael Jurowski and Philippe Auguin. A part from concert performances Magnus Fryklund is very passionate for opera and led most recently The Marriage of Figaro at Malmö Opera, both conducting and playing the pianoforte.
