Swiss and Italian born conductor, Francesco Cagnasso, is assistant at the Luzern Sinfonie Orchester KKL, with chief conductor Michael Sanderling and at the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz with chief conductor Micheal Francis. He was a finalist at the “Kritisches Orchester Berlin” 2022 and a member of the Forum Dirigieren (Deutsches Dirigenten Forum). He studied orchestral conducting in Hamburg with Ulrich Windfuhr and currently continues his studies in Zürich under the guidance of Prof. Johannes Schlaefli and Christoph-Mathias Mueller. Along the way he assisted conductors such as François-Xavier Roth, Kent Nagano and has attended Masterclasses with Daniele Gatti, Tomas Netopil, Ole Kristian Ruud, Nicolas Pasquet.
