Born in 1994 in North Ossetia, Timur Zangiev conducted the Symphony Orchestra of the Vladikavkaz Philharmonic at the early age of seven. He completed his conductor training at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Gennady Rozhdestvensky.
Currently works as a staff conductor with the Stanislavsky Theatre in Moscow, where his repertoire includes Carmen, Tosca, Don Giovanni, Cosi fan Tutte, Medea, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La Boheme, Manon, Orfeo ed Euridice, The Queen of Spades, The Secret Marriage, The Love for Three Oranges, Bluebeard’s Castle and Oedipus Rex among others.
20/21 season includes Sadko at the Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, premieres of Der Freischütz and Iolanta, revivals of Don Giovanni and Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Stanislavsky Theatre. At the concert platform in the 20/21 season he will appear with Evgeny Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra and Carolin Widmann.
